The electric service Ohioans are required to buy from ranks in the bottom five nationally and needs major improvement. The following policies would bring relief to long-embattled customers and improve the quality of service:

Repeal of House Bill 6, the notorious law that raised power bills for FirstEnergy’s customers and was implicated in the federal investigation into the company’s bribery plot

Investing in decarbonization strategies to lower peak demand and minimize grid costs

Introducing creative power-pricing options to reward consumers who shift usage to off-peak hours
