Who We Are

For years, our electric bills have been abused by big utilities, fossil fuel generators, and people peddling door-to-door rip-offs in the alternative supplier market. Not only do people need an advocate who will give them good information to help cut their utility bills right now, they also need somebody who will fight for them at the state capitol and before the public utility commission for long-term policy change.

Consumers need a voice at the table.

The real power to hold our electric utilities in check, keep costs under control, and breathe clean air is in the hands of consumers, if we organize together. That’s what CUB Ohio was created to do.

The Citizens Utility Board of Ohio (CUB-OH) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan consumer watchdog that advocates for residential and small business utility customers. Our mission is to educate consumers to reduce their utility bills today as well as to work long-term for energy that is affordable, reliable, and clean. Our membership lives across the state and is growing rapidly.
